Youth Ministries

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

The purpose of Ebenezer's Youth Ministry is to assist parents in ministering to their children to the end that they will become disciples of Jesus Christ. This is achieved through intentional teaching, worship, fellowship, prayer, discipleship and service - all for God’s glory. Our two main focuses are the Gospel of Christ and Christ-sharing relationships. We aim to share, model, and teach the gospel all within the context of Christ-sharing relationships with students.

Frequently Asked Questions

“What should I expect if I’m visiting?”

If you’re visiting any of our meetings, you don’t need to worry about being brought up front or becoming the center of attention. We don’t want you to be uncomfortable! Our youth and leaders will say hello and you’re welcome to engage in games or discussion however much you like.

Typically we might have around 30 youth on any given night, but that can vary up or down. Hopefully if you visit you might even make a few new friends. We’d love to have you!

“What is youth group like?”

A typical youth group involves: snacks, games, singing, and teaching. The singing is one of my (Adam, the youth director) favorite parts! We’re currently teaching through the book of James.

On the first Sunday of each month, our youth usually join the evening worship service at 5p.m., with a church-wide fellowship time that usually follows afterwards.

“What are small groups like?”

People can connect more deeply with one another through small groups. We have 4 small groups during the school year:
- Middle School Girls                                - High School Girls

- Middle School Guys                                - High School Guys

Each is led by an adult youth leader (or several) and will either study the Bible, a book, or topic.

Part of the evening also involves all the groups playing games together for a bit. Every so often a small group will also do a fun activity together, like get ice cream, dinner or hang out and play games together. It’s pretty cool.
